Juicy Couture Oui

Oui means “yes” in French, and Juicy Couture’s 2018 fragrance really is a cheerful yes of a scent.

Watermelon and pear make the opening fresh and juicy. The surprise is açaí tea, which adds a gentle, slightly tannic tea note and stops the watermelon from smelling like candy. Then comes a big but airy bouquet of jasmine, wild tuberose and dewy honeysuckle. Woods, amber and musk warm up the base and give it a polished finish.

The tuberose is generous without being heady, so Oui moves easily from a daytime lunch to an evening out. The bottle is just as playful, in pink and red with a crystal-like cap and a gold OUI pendant on a chain.
