A lot of people have fond memories of Candie’s. Made under Liz Claiborne, it’s a playful fruity floral with a candy-sweet heart, and it still has that cheerful, youthful energy.

Lemon, bergamot and mandarin brighten the start, then raspberry and peach bring a juicy, candy-shop burst. The middle is surprisingly generous: gardenia, rose, jasmine, lily of the valley and ylang-ylang, with the gardenia and ylang-ylang adding a creamy, almost tropical warmth.

The base is where the fun comes from. Caramel and vanilla linger longest, with sandalwood, amber and musk underneath. The caramel gives it a confectionery twist, and the white flowers keep it from turning into pure sugar.

Casual days, school and weekend plans all suit it.
