Black Opium Extreme is for people who love the darker side of YSL’s coffee perfume and want even more of it.
Coffee still leads, but here it’s joined by cacao, which adds a dry, powdery, chocolate-like richness. Together they make the opening deeper and more roasted. Jasmine and orange blossom then bring real floral volume, a brighter center between those dark accords, so it smells like a floral gourmand rather than a coffee drink.
Vanilla softens the base, and patchouli adds an earthy layer underneath. That patchouli is important. It keeps the sweetness grounded and gives the whole thing a firmer, more serious finish.
If your usual evening scent is a dry citrus or a barely sweet floral, treat Extreme as a change of mood, not a replacement. It’s warm, dense and made for the night.
Eau de Parfum, 1.0 oz. Lighter options in the same family: the original Black Opium, or the vanilla-heavy Black Opium Le Parfum. Everything from Yves Saint Laurent is here.
