Fourteen bottles, and eleven of them are called Club de Nuit. That one line is why most people arrive on this page, and it is worth being straight about what it is.
Armaf is a United Arab Emirates house, and it belongs to a part of the fragrance market that European brands spent decades pretending did not exist. The Gulf has its own perfumery tradition — oud, amber, resin, high concentrations, worn heavily — and for a long time that stayed regional.
What changed was price. Houses like this one worked out that a well-made fragrance could be sold for a fraction of designer money if you skipped the fashion licence, the celebrity campaign and the department store. Then the internet did the rest. Armaf, Lattafa and a handful of others went from unknown to unavoidable in about five years.
Yes: Club de Nuit Intense is built in the direction of Creed Aventus, and it is probably the most discussed fragrance of its kind anywhere. The house has never made a secret of the territory, and nor will we.
What is worth knowing is that it is not a copy so much as a very good interpretation, and it has outlived the joke — people who own the original often keep this one too, because it is more wearable in situations where you would not empty an expensive bottle.
The line runs to eleven: the original Eau de Toilette, Intense in two concentrations, then Sillage, Imperiale, Iconic, Milestone, Urban Man, Oud, Untold and a Limited Edition. They are not all variations on Intense — Untold in particular is a different fragrance entirely, sweet and modern, and is listed under unisex rather than men’s.
Tres Nuit is the cheapest bottle here and the easiest — clean, green and completely uncomplicated. Niche Oud is the most traditional thing on the page. Oros sits at the top of the range and is the one the house treats as its flagship.
Ten of these fourteen are Eau de Parfum and three are Parfum, so concentration is high across the board. In practice that means two sprays, not five, and a bottle that lasts months rather than weeks.
The honest limitation: at this price you get performance and character but not much refinement. These are fragrances that announce themselves. If that is what you want they are excellent value, and if it is not, Bvlgari is the quietest range we stock. Everything here is under men’s cologne.
