What is the difference between designer and niche brands?

Designer houses such as Dior or Armani aim for wide appeal and are usually easier to wear anywhere. Niche houses such as Xerjoff or Parfums de Marly use higher concentrations and more unusual materials, so they tend to last longer and smell more distinctive.

Which brand should I start with?
